Moto Guzzi V85TT Launched in India

Premium Italian two-wheeler brand Piaggio has launched the new Moto Guzzi V85TT in the Indian market. The adventure motorcycle comes with a price tag of INR 15.4 lakh ex-showroom. At the price point, the new V85TT is nearly INR 3 lakhs more expensive than the predecessor. The brand positions the Moto Guzzi V85TT as a premium adventure segment motorcycle with a retro design. The bike will help Piaggio gain traction in the booming adventure motorcycle segment in the Indian market.

Moto Guzzi V85TT – Design Highlights

The Moto Guzzi V85TT comes with a retro classic off-roader design theme. The bike gets a twin-rounded headlamp with a free-flying eagle in the centre. The motorcycle also comes with a high-mount front fender and rugged headlight clamps finished in body colour. The V85TT also comes with a double bubble windscreen. The tall visor helps protect the rider from wind blasts reducing fatigue on long rides. The retro-style motorcycle comes with a large fuel tank with a classic elongated design and small triangular side panels on the sides. The bike also gets a large and comfortable seat for both rider and pillion. The pillion also gets a grab rail integrated with a top box mount. However, the pièce de résistance is the transversely mounted V-twin engine that gives the motorcycle the muscle it requires.

Moto Guzzi V85TT – Technical Specifications

Powering the Moto Guzzi V85TT is an 853cc 90-degree V-twin Transversal engine. The air-cooled engine comes with two valves per cylinder, a titanium intake and an OHC valve distribution system. The motor is capable of producing 75 Hp of power and 81 Nm of torque. The engine channels the power and torque through a 6-speed transmission with a shaft final drive. The motorcycle rides on a 41mm upside-down front suspension and a lateral monoshock on the rear. The bike comes with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cross-spoke wheels shod in tubeless tyres.

The Moto Guzzi V85TT not only comes with comfortable seats but also relaxed ergonomics in the handlebar and footpeg department. The brand also offers an LCD dashboard for convenience. The V85TT also gets LED headlights and taillights, MGCT (Moto Guzzi Traction Control), and a dual-channel ABS as standard to enhance safety.
