OnePlus Planning to Launch Electric Vehicles in India

Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer OnePlus Technology Co., Ltd has filed a new trademark in the India intellectual property office. In addition to this, the brand has also been posting teasers on the official social media website leading us to believe a new innovative product is on the way. But the most interesting thing is that the new patent has been filed under the Nice Classification 12. For the uninitiated, under the Nice Class, ’12’, manufacturers file trademarks for Motor Vehicles. This includes Cars, Autonomous Cars, Electric Cars. Also, Motorcycles, Scooters, Electric Scooters, Remote Control Vehicles, Civilian Drones, Safety Seats, Unicycles, Self Balancing Boards etc. However, the trademark itself does not give any specific hints about the product the brand plans to introduce in the Indian market.

OnePlus Life Trademark Filed

OnePlus recently filed patents for the wordmark “OnePlus Life” in India. But it is important to note that the trademark has been objected to. This leads us to believe that the company is likely to make slight changes to the name. Market speculation suggests that the brand could be planning to launch a new electric scooter in India. OlePlus could introduce a new electric scooter for the last mile mobility and compete in the booming E-scooter segment. The OnePlus electric scooter is likely to have a range good enough to travel around the city. The electric scooter will also come with a fast charging system. The fast-charging system will not only reduce the range anxiety for the customer but also improve the overall range of the EV.
