Ultraviolette Testing F-77 Electric Bike On Public Roads in Chikmagalur

Ultraviolette has announced that the brand has commenced the next phase of testing on its high-performance electric motorcycle, F-77. The company announced that Ultraviolette has started its #BeyondAsphalt series of road trips in its home state of Karnataka. The new BeyondAsphalt series aims to test the limits of the F-77 e-bike on India’s challenging geography and extreme terrains. With four years of testing, the company aims to further test the drivetrain, chassis, and battery capability of the F-77.

Beyond Asphalt Road Trip

In the first phase of the BeyondAsphalt road trip, Ultraviolette will take the F-77 on the off-road trails of Chikmagalur, Karnataka. The brand has revealed that the F-77 will be put to test on muddy, uneven, and harsh terrains. Under the beyond asphalt initiative, the F-77 will be ready to go anywhere in India. This is the first phase of outdoor testing and the company promises to share the next episode soon.

Ultraviolette F-77 – Technical Specifications

Ultraviolette plans to offer the F-77 in three trims – Airstrike, Shadow, Laser, and 3 Lithium-ion battery packs. The top-spec model will have a maximum battery capacity of 4.2 kWh. The power unit on the F-77 produces 33.5 PS of power and 90 Nm of torque. This helps the Ultraviolette F-77 to accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 140 kmph. The brand also boasts that the Ultraviolette F-77 can traverse 150 km on a full charge. The Ultraviolette F-77 comes with 17-inch wheels on both ends and upside-down front forks. The bike gets a monoshock spring on the rear. Braking power comes from a single 320mm disc brake with ABS on the front and a 230 mm rear disc brake on the rear.

Recently, Ultraviolette also tested the F-77 on an airstrip for acceleration, stability, handling, and braking. The brand revealed that the bike has been thoroughly tested for stress, strain, thermal testing of the brakes, callipers, handlebars, and chassis of the F-77. The brand is likely to begin production in Q1 of 2022.
