Kawasaki Planning to Launch Three Electric Bikes by Next Year

Kawasaki is planning to launch 3 electric motorcycles by 2022. With the new electric products, the brand will be able to cater to the demand for electric two-wheelers which is now at an all-time high. The brand realises that the electric vehicle market is a global trend and is seen across both developed and developing countries. India is also witnessing a trend shift, as almost all-electric two-wheeler manufacturers are recording a positive trend in sales figures. Recently at the EICMA 2021, Kawasaki also revealed its plans for electrification. The brand is planning to shift to electrified vehicles a few years from now. And this is the first time that the company has officially revealed the developments publicly.

What to Expect in the Near Future

Kawasaki showcased the electric version of the Ninja 400 a few years ago. The Ninja brand could become the first t electric motorcycle from Kawasaki. Now the could be planning to first electrify its entry-level motorcycles starting with the Ninja 300. The brand is also likely to produce an electric version of some dirt bikes. In addition to this, reports also suggest that we will be able to see the electric version of the Ninja ZX-10R, the brand’s flagship sportbike. However, the brand has not officially announced the new electric vehicles from team green.

The list of products includes the Ninja 1000 SX, Versys 1000, Z650RS and more. The brand is also likely to soon reveal a new retro-based motorcycle This motorcycle will draw its inspiration from the Z650RS and the Z900RS. Sources reveal it could be the new Z400RS. Kawasaki aims to leverage the demand in the retro classic segment with this new offering.
