Aprilia announced the launch of its first adventure scooter, the SR GT 200, in the Japanese market. The Italian premium motorcycle manufacturer first unveiled the SR GT range of adventure scooters during the November 2021 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. Aprilia offers the SR GT in two variants – 125 and 200, with the latter introduced in Japan. The Aprilia SR GT 200 comes with off-road abilities and practicality and performance for daily runs.
2022 Aprilia SR GT 200 – Highlights
The Aprilia SR GT 200 draws inspiration from the SXR range of scooters. The SR GT 200 offers an ADV stance and comes with features such as a wide handlebar, long-travel suspension, an imposing apron, and block pattern tyres. The ‘urban adventure scooter’ also comes with tri-LED headlights upfront with a smoked windscreen and a heavily flared front panel. The scooter also gets aggressive cuts & creases and a large tunnel placed between the legs of the rider.

The Aprilia scooter also comes with silver-coloured panels, giving it a metallic bash plate impression. The 2022 SR GT 200 also gets a sharp tail section with a single-piece grab rail and an upswept exhaust. The Aprilia GT 200 also comes with black or red-coloured wheels and distinctive body graphics to further accentuate its road presence.
2022 Aprilia SR GT 200 – Technical Specifications
Powering the Aprilia SR GT 200 is a liquid-cooled 174cc, four-stroke, four-valve,single-cylinder SOHC engine. The engine pairs to a CVT automatic transmission. The motor produces 17.4 PS of power and 16.5 Nm of torque thanks to an electronically-controlled fuel injection system. The scooter rides on a double cradle, high-tension steel pipe frame and offers a 799mm seat height and an overall wheelbase of 1,350mm. In addition to this, the adventure scooter also comes with 33mm, hydraulic front forks with 120mm of travel and an adjustable twin-shock rear suspension. Aprilia has equipped the scooter with a 14-inch front wheel and a 13-inch rear wheel.
