2022 Aprilia SR125 Scooter Launched in India

Italian premium two-wheeler manufacturer Aprilia has updated the SR 125 for the Indian market. The new Aprilia SR 125 now comes with a price tag of INR 1,07,595 ex-showroom. The brand has made some significant changes to the 2022 Aprilia SR 125. These changes are in terms of its styling as well as features. With the Aprilia SR 125, the brand targets the younger generation looking for a sporty scooter. Aprilia has made some excellent value addition changes to the SR 125 making it even more alluring than the predecessor.

Aprilia SR 125 – Changes

The new Aprilia SR 125 comes with a sharper design accentuated with a more definite V-shaped LED headlight and LED tail-lamp. The brand offers a reworked front apron and pillion grab rails on the new scooter. Interestingly the new scooter also comes with features such as a new split seat. The new split seat feature is quite unusual for scooters, especially in India. The Aprilia SR 125 also comes shod with new CEAT tyres instead of MRF as the outgoing model.

In terms of features, Aprilia is now offering a fully digital instrument cluster similar to the one present in the Aprilia SXR 160 maxiscooter. Thanks to the new dashboard, the rider will get all the necessary riding statistics. This includes the speed, odometer, trip meters, fuel consumption data etc. Aprilia also offers the SR 125 with a tachometer which is usually not present in scooters. Unfortunately, Aprilia has not provided Bluetooth connectivity with the new scooter, that is now being offered on its competition.

Aprilia SR 125 – Technical Specifications

Powering the Aprilia SR 125 is a 124.45cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The BS6 compliant engine with three valves produces 9.78 Hp of power and 9.70 Nm of torque. The engine comes with an automatic gearbox and an electronic fuel injection system. Aprilia offers a disc brake on the front and a drum brake on the rear equipped with CBS.

Competition Check

The Aprilia SR 125 goes head to head with the TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Burgman Street 125, Yamaha Ray ZR 125 and Honda Grazia. However, the Aprilia SR 125 is the most expensive offering.
