TVS Launches Raider Commuter Bike with Riding Modes

TVS has launched a new motorcycle in the Indian market. The brand has christened the quirky motorcycle Raider. The brand has positioned the TVS Raider in the hot-contested 125cc market in India. The segment includes a plethora of options such as the Bajaj Pulsar 125, Pulsar NS125, Hero Glamour, Honda Shine etc. However, the eccentric styling gives the Raider an edge, especially in the commuter segment. The brand revealed that it is targeting the global Gen Z audience with the new Naked Street Design. Hence, the Raider comes with advanced features such as digital instruments, connectivity features, and a first-in-segment – Ride Modes.

TVS Raider – Design Highlights

The TVS Raider features a macho style with a muscular fuel tank. The TVS Raider features an aggressive headlamp with boomerang-shaped twin LED DRLs and a sharp taillamp. The quirky design of the lights improves the motorcycle’s visibility from the front and rear, says TVS. The brand has also worked hard in the ergonomics department, and the bike comes with comfortable rider and pillion seats, upright handlebars and relaxed footpegs. Thus offering a sporty, compact and agile motorcycle for your everyday ride. TVS offers the Raider in four colour options – Fiery Yellow, Striking Red, Blazing Blue and Wicked Black.

TVS Raider – Features

The TVS Raider comes loaded with features such as a reverse LCD digital speedometer. Optionally, the brand also offers a 5-inch TFT cluster with Voice Assist and multiple ride modes. The bike also gets TVS SMARTXONNECT opening options such as Bluetooth Connectivity, Voice Assist and Navigation. Safety features include a helmet reminder and side stand indicator with engine inhibitor. The brand also boasts that the Raider will come with the first-in-segment under-seat storage.

TVS Raider – Technical Specifications

Powering the TVS Raider is a 124.8cc single-cylinder air-/oil-cooled three-valve engine. The engine produces 11.2 Hp of power and 11.2 Nm of torque. The motor comes with a 5-speed gearbox that helps the bike accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 5.9 seconds. The motorcycle also reaches a top speed of 99 kmph. The engine also comes with two riding modes – Eco and Power.
