Triumph Rocket 3 R and 3 GT 221 Special Edition Revealed

Iconic British motorcycle maker Triumph has revealed the special edition of Rocket 3 R and 3 GT roadster motorcycles. Furthermore, Triumph India’s official website has also listed the special edition bikes. This leads us to believe that the bikes will make their market debut in the country soon. As of now, Triumph has not announced the pricing of the special edition bikes but plans to launch them in December 2021. The brand has revealed that the company will offer the exclusive special edition of the Rocket 3 duo for just one year worldwide. The special edition Rocket 3 commemorates the largest production engine which punches out the highest torque figure for a two-wheeler.

Triumph Rocket 3 R & 3 GT 221 special edition – Design Details 

Triumph is offering an exclusive Red Hopper paint scheme on the new Rocket 3 R and 3 GT 221. The special edition 3 GT 221 also comes with ‘221’ graphics on the fuel tank and the front mudguards. The Rocket 3 also get graphics on the top of the tank that showcases the performance numbers. This includes figures such as engine size, bore, and stroke, power, torque. The special edition Rocket 3 also dons ‘Sapphire Black’ on the rear mudguard, flyscreen, bodywork, and front fascia. Other design elements include ‘221’ knee pad graphics with Triumph badging on both ends. The differentiating factors between the two bikes are the roadster-style handlebars on the 3 R and touring-oriented on the 3 GT 221.

Triumph Rocket 3 R & 3 GT 221 special edition – Technical Specs 

Powering the Triumph Rocket 3 R and 3 GT 221 is a 2458cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The engine claims the title of being the largest production motorbike engine. The engine produces 167 PS of power and 221 Nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed gearbox. Triumph offers the Rocket 3 special editions with a full aluminium frame. The bike rides on with 17-inch front aluminium wheels and 16-inch aluminium rear wheels. Both the special edition bikes come with 47 mm upside-down Showa front fork suspension and a fully-adjustable Showa monoshock at the rear.
