Ola Futurefoundry Global Centre for Engineering & Vehicle Design Setup in the UK

Leading electric vehicle manufacturer, Ola Electric, has announced that the brand has set up the Ola Futurefoundry in the UK. Ola will be investing over USD 100 million over the next five years into the state-of-the-art R&D centre. The company will also be staffing more than 200 designers and automotive engineers at the new Ola Futurefoundry. The electric mobility solutions manufacturer will also offer world-class education and research institutions in the UK to collaborate on technology research and development.

What is Ola Futurefoundry?

Ola reveals that Futurefoundry is a global centre for advanced engineering and vehicle design. The R&D centre would be based in Coventry, the UK and become the global hub for automotive design and engineering. Futurefoundry would also include a Vehicle Design Setup. Ola also revealed that Futurefoundry would work in partnership with design and engineering teams based at Ola Campus in Bengaluru, India.

The Futurefoundry will consist of talents across the two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicle design. The team will also consist of advanced high-performance automotive engineering, digital & physical modelling etc. Futurefoundry houses various talents that will focus on vehicle R&D around new energy systems, including cell technologies. 

The brand also reveals that Futurefoundry will fulfil demands from global sensibilities through its world-class design. Furturefoundry’s R&D team will also address the various needs of our consumers around the world in addition to offering new and exciting electric two-wheeler, four-wheelers. 

Ola Electric Car

In the recent past, Ola CEO Mr Bhavish Aggarwal revealed through the micro-blogging website Twitter that the brand will be foraying into the electric four-wheeler segment as well. On Twitter, the top boss also revealed a rendered concept car that could be the basis of the upcoming Ola electric vehicle.
