Ola Electric Will ReOpen Bookings on Ola S1 & S1 Pro Electric Scooters in December

Ola Electric will be delaying the booking process for its Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters in the Indian market. The brand had earlier plans to re-open bookings for their e-scooters on 1st November 2021. Now Ola has revealed that the order books will open on 16th December. The company has made the decision to fulfil its existing orders before taking new orders. Ola Electric has failed to deliver the e-scooters that were already booked in India. The brand had plans to deliver the e-scooters to the market in October. Also, Ola plans to deliver the e-scooters as production recently started in India. Ola will sell the bike only through their online sales channel streamlining their booking process.

Ola Electric S1 and S1 Pro – Price

The Ola Electric S1 and S1 Pro come with a starting price of INR 99,999 (ex-showroom) and INR 1,29,999 (ex-showroom), respectively. Thanks to the, FAME II Scheme, the final prices of the e-scooters may come with a solid discount depending on the state.

Ola Electric S1 and S1 Pro – Powertrain

The Ola Electric scooter comes with a 2.9 kWh battery and a ‘Hyperdrive’ electric motor. The powerunit produces 11 PS of power and 58 Nm of torque. The scooter is capable of sprinting from 0-60 kmph in just 7 seconds. The motor also enables a top speed of 90 kmph on the Ola S1.

On the other hand, the S1 Pro, comes with a larger capacity 3.97 kWh battery. The S1 Pro also comes with three driving modes – Normal, Sports, and Hyper. The powerful electric motor can propel the S1 Pro to a top speed of 115 kph and is capable of sprinting from 0-60 kmph in just 5 seconds while in Hyper Mode. Both e-scooters get a smart vehicle control unit (VCU), an octa-core processor with 3GB onboard RAM.

Ola Electric S1 and S1 Pro – Range and Charging 

The Ola S1 claims a maximum range of 121 km on a single charge. Customers can charge the Ola S1 to 100% SOC (State of Charge) in just 4 hours and 48 minutes. On the other hand, the Ola S1 Pro boasts a maximum range of 181 km on a single charge. The S1 Pro takes 6 hours and 30 minutes to charge up to 100% via a conventional charging port. Using the Ola’s new ‘Hypercharger,’ both e-scooters can recharge for a range of 75 km in just 18 minutes.
