Kawasaki Reveals MY22 Versys 1000 With New Variants

Kawasaki has launched the new MY22 Kawasaki Versys 1000 with new variants in the European market. The brand will be trickling down the new variant line-up in India as well. Currently, Kawasaki retails the Versys 1000 in India in a single variant with a single colour. But, in Europe, the Kawasaki Versys 1000 now has three variants. Standard, S and SE. The previous S variant is now the standard variant. The new S variant carries more features over the standard and the SE is the top-of-the-line trim. The brand has not made any major design changes on the new Versys 1000. Kawasaki will start retailing the MY22 Versys 1000 from January 2022 in the international market. The MY22 Versys 1000 is also likely to make it to India next year owing to its popularity.

MY22 Kawasaki Versys 1000 – Changes & Price in Europe

The new MY22 Kawasaki Versys 1000 comes with a new entry-level model the standard. The standard model now comes with a price tag of GBP 10,399 MSRP. The latest entry-level does not come with electronic rider aids as well as the colour TFT dashboard. However, the new price tag will attract a wide range of buyers. The Versys 1000 S variant comes with a price tag of GBP 13,099 MSRP. The S model gets electronic rider aids, a new dashboard, etc. The brand offers a taller windscreen and heated grips optional accessories.

The top-of-the-line Versys 1000 SE variant comes with electronically damped Showa Skyhook suspension as well as a few other electronic features and high-specification components. The range-topping bike comes with a price tag of GBP 14,999 MSRP. The brand also offers a new optional variant, the Grand Tourer with large panniers for luggage and comfortable features for the pillion. The Grand Tourer comes with a price tag of GBP 16,699 MSRP. 

MY22 Kawasaki Versys 1000 – Technical Specifications

Powering the Versys 1000 is a 1,043cc in-line four-cylinder engine with liquid cooling. The motor produces 120 PS of power and 102 Nm of torque. The engine features a 6-speed return type transmission and comes with a wet multi-plate assist & slipper clutch. Kawasaki offers the Versys 1000 with 43 mm front upside-down forks. These front forks offer a long 150mm travel along with pre-load, rebound and damping adjustability. The bike also comes with a horizontal back-link gas-charged monoshock.
