Hop Electric Starts Road Testing of OXO e-Motorcycle

One of India’s emerging electric mobility companies, Hop Electric has commenced testing on a new electric motorcycle. The brand is likely to launch a new e-motorcycle in the Indian market to compete with top electric mobility brands in the country. Hop Mobility has revealed that the new motorcycle is christened OXO in the Indian market. The Hop Electric OXO e-motorcycle appears in the prototype stage at the moment and appears to come with a street naked design language. The e-motorcycle is currently under test on public roads of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Rajasthan-based brand has its office and manufacturing plant situated in Jaipur. Currently, the brand offers two electric scooters in the Indian market – Hop Leo and Hop Lyf.

Hop Electric Testing OXO e-Motorcycle – Technical Specifications

Hop Mobility in the past revealed that the OXO e-motorcycle will come with a hub-mounted 7200W electric motor. The electric motor will be able to propel the bike to a top speed of around 100 kmph. The bike will also come with a lithium-ion battery pack that offers a range of around 100 km on a single charge. Hop Electric OXO e-motorcycle will also be able to sprint from 0-80/90 kmph in less than 30 seconds.

The electric motorcycle is also to accelerate to the high speed without producing any tailpipe emissions as well as noise pollution. The motorcycle will also prove to be significantly affordable to run as compared to an internal combustion motorcycle. Daily commuters will especially benefit from the new e-motorcycle. The brand will offer the electric bike with telescopic front suspension. The bike also gets twin shock absorbers with piggyback gas canisters on the rear. The motorcycle is also likely to come with alloy wheels and disc brakes on the front.

Hop Electric Testing OXO e-Motorcycle – Competition Check

Hop Electric OXO is likely to lock horns with the Revolt RV300 and RV400 e-motorcycles. The bike will also compete with the upcoming Komaki MX3.
