Hero MotoCorp Retails 2.89 Lakh Two-Wheelers in Global Markets

Hero MotorCorp has announced that the brand recorded a sales figure of over 2.89 lakh two-wheelers for the calendar year 2021. The brand revealed that global sales have grown by around 71 per cent in the worldwide market. For the calendar year 2020, the sales stood at 1.69 units outside the Indian markets. This includes both motorcycles and scooters are spread across markets such as Asia, Africa, Central America, the Caribbean and Africa.

The company is following the new R4 strategy, which includes – Recalibrate, Revitalize, Revolutionize and Revive. Hero MotoCorp is also witnessing significant growth in the segment. Despite the pandemic, which led to the slump in sales and also the constraints in global logistics and supply chain. Hero MotoCorp also mentioned that the brand is well on track to achieve 15 per cent of the company’s total volumes from its global business by the year 2025.

December Month Sales Analysis

Hero MotoCorp also registered total sales of 394,773 units of motorcycles and scooters in December 2021. The brand also reveals that the figure is for both the domestic as well as global market. Compared to the November 2021 figure stood at 349,393 units, resulting in a growth of 13 per cent. In the third quarter of FY22, Hero MotoCorp posted a total sales of 12,92,136 units. Hero MotoCorp also introduced two new motorcycles in the third quarter. The first motorcycle is the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition, and second is the XPulse 200 4 Valve. The brand also recently announced the new Pleasure XTec scooter in the Indian market.

Hero MotoCorp’s Global Expansion Plans

Hero MotoCorp currently has its presence in 42 countries spread across three continents. In the global market, Hero MotoCorp is accelerating its global expansion plans. In the third quarter of the current financial year, Hero MotoCorp also inaugurated a new dealership in Dubai. The flagship also opened a new dealership in Buenos Aires in Argentina.
