EICMA 2021: Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade 30th Anniversary Edition Revealed

Honda has revealed the new 30th-anniversary edition CBR1000RR-R Fireblade superbike at the EICMA 2021 in Milan. Honda has been updating its supersport Fireblade flagship since the original CBR900RR in 1992. The brand also released the updated versions of its CBR1000RR superbike over the years. Recently the brand introduced the 7th generation CBR1000RR-R Fireblade which was a showstopper at the EICMA 2 years ago. Now the Fireblade superbike celebrates its 30th year remaining one of the class benchmarks.

Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade 30th Anniversary edition: Design Highlights 

To commemorate its 30 years, the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade features a livery combining white, blue and red colours. The livery is created by designer Mr Hiroaki Tsukui. The brand also offers a superbike with a special blue seat. Honda has also added a ‘Ring of Fire’ screen animation on the dashboard display when the bike is started.

The 30th anniversary CBR1000RR-R also comes with a ‘Badge of Honour’, along with a smart key fob. Honda has also implemented a special individual serial number representing the bike’s limited production run. Honda has also added a specially engraved Akrapovic exhaust to the limited edition bike.

Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade 30th Anniversary edition: Technical Specs 

Powering the special edition Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade is a 1000cc, liquid-cooled 4-stroke 16-valve DOHC, inline-4 engine. The engine produces 217 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque. The motor comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

The brand offers revised intake ports, airbox funnels, and Honda’s Selectable Torque Control on the new sports bike. The bike rides on 17-inch front and rear wheels and an aluminium twin-tube chassis. The running gear includes a 43mm Ohlins NPX S-EC front telescopic fork and an Ohlins TTX36 S-EC rear Pro-Link swingarm. Braking performance on the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade comes from dual 330mm front brake discs with 4-piston Brembo callipers and ABS. At the rear, the bike sports a single 220mm brake disc with a 2-piston Brembo calliper.
