BMW Motorrad C 400 GT Scooter Teased for India

BMW Motorrad is planning to launch the C 400 GT maxi-scooter in the Indian market. The brand in the recent past released a teaser on its official social media channel. This teaser showcased the maxi-scooter’s silhouette with the Gateway of India in the background. Now the brand has posted a walkaround teaser of the BMW C 400 GT in the Style Triple Black colour option. This teaser is currently available for viewing on BMW Motorrad India’s official social media channels. This leads us to believe that the launch is now imminent. BMW could leverage the current festive season for the launch of the maxi-scooter. The German manufacturer may bring the C 400 GT via the CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit) route and may sell it in limited numbers. Rather than becoming a practical scooter, the C 400 GT is likely to become a collectable item in India. In the UK, the scooter comes with a hefty price tag of GBP 6,995, which translates to around INR 7 lakh.

BMW C 400 GT – Design and Features

The BMW Motorrad C 400 GT comes with a tall windscreen and large body proportions. The Grand Tourer comes with a chiselled body design and ergonomically optimised seats, handlebars and footrests. The scooter comes with a sizeable front fascia and quad headlamp units. The C 400 GT also gets sharp features on the front with an aerodynamically optimised front fascia that not just helps channel air around the scooter but also helps protect the rider from wind and weather. The C 400 GT also comes with a large and ergonomically designed seat with GT badging and large footrests. The scooter also comes with a full TFT display for the instruments.

BMW C 400 GT – Technical Specifications

Powering the BMW C 400 GT is a 350cc single-cylinder engine with liquid-cooling. The scooter is capable of producing 34 Hp of power and 38 Nm of torque. BMW offers an Electronic port fuel injection system, digital engine management, and BMS-ME with an e-throttle grip on the C 400 GT scooter. The maxi-scooter also claims to reach a top speed of 138 kmph. The BMW C 400 GT rides on a telescopic front suspension and a monoshock on the rear. The scooter also gets dual disc brakes on the front, large alloy wheels and wide rubber tyres.
