Ather Energy is expanding its footprint in India by adding new retail spaces. The brand has just added a new shop in Nagpur, Maharashtra. This marks Ather’s 4th experience centre in the state and 28th experience centre across India. Ather currently has its presence in three cities Mumbai, Pune and Nashik. The growing demand for electric scooters in these markets is leading Ather to expand its network rapidly.
The brand has announced that the showroom in Nagpur is now officially open. Hence, interested customers can get a first-hand experience of both the 450X and 450 Plus at the experience centre. Customers will also be able to book their test ride slots by visiting Ather Energy’s official website. The new showroom is located at Dharampeth, Nagpur. The showroom will help Ather boost sales. Currently, the ex-showroom price post the Fame II revision for the Ather 450X is INR 128,321 ex-showroom and INR 109,311 ex-showroom for the Ather 450 Plus in Nagpur.
Ather Grid’s Current Status
To reduce the range anxiety and accelerate EV sales a viable and robust charging infrastructure is of utmost importance. The Ather Grid is the brand’s charging network which is growing at a steady pace. In Nagpur as well the company has set up a fast-charging point at the showroom itself. In addition to this, the company will add more than 4 to 5 points across the city. By the end of FY22 Ather wants to set up over 500 Ather Grids across the country. The Ather Grid is free to use for all-electric two-wheelers until the end of June 2022.
Ather Energy has its products available in over 23 cities with a total of 27 retail stores. By March 2023, the company aims to have its network in 100 cities and build over 150 experience centres. Ather also plans a second manufacturing facility, which will allow an annual production capacity from 120,000 units per annum to 400,000 units.
