Honda launched the updated 2022 CBR500R in the international market. The new supersport motorcycle now comes with updated hardware and new colour options. The new colour options include – Grand Prix Red and the new Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. Apart from this, the 2022 model also includes redesigned wheels, a lighter radiator, and a powerful LED headlight.
Reports also suggest that the new Honda CBR500R also comes with some updates to the hardware. These include a new suspension setup which now comes with a 41mm upside-down Showa Separate Function Fork Big Piston (SFF-BP) forks at the front. For the rear, the brand is offering the same mono-shock unit. However, Honda revealed that the rear mono-shock setup comes with a revised setting to comply with the new front forks. Braking duties are handled by a 296mm dual disc setup on the front. This means that the new CBR500R has been upgraded from a single rotor set up. The rear also gets a single 240mm disc with a single-piston calliper. The motorcycle also comes with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Powertrain
The 2022 Honda CBR500R retains the same liquid-cooled 471cc parallel-twin engine. But, the 2022 engine gets an updated fuel injection system set to deliver improved torque. The engine pairs with a 6-speed transmission and produces 46.9 BHP of power and 43 Nm on torque.
Features
The Honda CBR500R comes with a twin-split headlight setup but with a more powerful LED headlight. The motorcycle also retains the full-fairing design along with the side slung exhaust and split seat that completes the overall look. The wheels however are different for the 2022 model and feature a five-spoke design as against the six-spoke alloy on the previous model. The Honda CBR500R also comes with a digital instrument cluster showing important riding information like speed, engine RPM, dual trip metres, fuel level indicator, consumption gauge, clock, coolant temperature, gear position, a shift up indicator and more.
